This rooftop tent mounts to SUVs, 4WDs and utes with load-rated crossbars or roof racks. The right setup depends on the tent weight and your vehicle's roof rating.

Crossbar load rating: Most rooftop tents in this range need crossbars rated to at least 75kg dynamic (load while driving). Heavier models like the Kosci E-rise need 100kg dynamic. Check your crossbar manufacturer's rating before fitting.

Garage clearance: Rooftop tents add height to your vehicle. Slim profile models (Kalbarri Lite at 116mm, Kalbarri Side Gen 2 at 115mm) clear most undercover car parks at 2.1m. Standard profile models (138 to 180mm) sit higher; measure your roof line plus the tent height before driving in. The Kosci E-rise sits highest at 250mm folded.

Installation: Two people make installation easier. Most San Hima tents weigh 60 to 80kg, manageable for two adults of average build. The Alpine softshell (36.9kg) is the only model one person can comfortably lift solo. For heavier hardshells and the Kosci E-rise (110kg), plan for two to three people.

Without crossbars: You'll need crossbars or a roof rack before mounting any rooftop tent. We sell load-rated crossbars and ute tub racks designed for rooftop tent setups. Ask the team if you'd like a recommendation for your vehicle.

2 Years Warranty

For a major failure, you are entitled to a replacement or full refund. For minor failures, the goods will be repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality.

What's covered: Defects in materials and workmanship under normal personal use.

What's not covered: Normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse, neglect, or lack of maintenance. Incorrect voltage, power surges, or voltage supply problems. Tampering, unauthorised repairs, or use of defective or incompatible accessories. Natural disasters or other external causes. Damage from operating the product outside the manufacturer's instructions.

How to claim: Submit a claim through the Vicoffroad website with proof of purchase. Customer service reviews each claim case by case and may request a photo. A return label is issued if the product needs to be returned for assessment.

This warranty covers the original purchaser only and is not transferable on resale. It is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Free Shipping: We offer free shipping for most metro postcodes across Australia. Regional and remote areas may carry an extra charge, you'll see your total once you enter your postcode at checkout.

Dispatch: We send your order within 1 business day.

Delivery: Most orders arrive in 2 to 12 business days, sent via Australia Post or courier depending on size and weight. We'll email you a tracking number once your order is on the way.

PO Box: We can deliver to a PO Box if your item is under 22 kg and 1 m long. Anything bigger needs a physical street address.

Pickup: Available on unpaid orders only. Choose pickup at checkout before payment, then collect within 3 business days once your stock is ready.
